ESL Australia and ZEN ESPORTS NETWORK announce a new league for the Asia-Pacific region in 2017 with $100,000 up for grabs.
With ESL Australia & NZ Championship Season 2 Finals in action this weekend, ESL Australia and ZEN revealed on stream that the league will feature 8 teams split between the Oceanic region and the Asian region. There will be two seasons per year, which will involve a two to three week online season and LAN finals.
The first Asia-Pacific league in CS:GO
The online qualifiers will begin next month, in December 2016. Two spots have been secured by Athletico and Chiefs after defeating Immunity and Parallax respectively in the semi-finals of ESL ANZ Season 2 Finals.

Here are the details given so far for the Oceanic region:
- Online Qualifiers - beginning from December 4th 2016
- Offline Qualifier - Melbourne: Crown Invitational - January 14th 2017
- Season One League - February 4th to April 13th 2017
